EXPERT: Override

TASK: For Preset 8 I want to use different CC's (18, 19, 20, 21) on my S-buttons S1-S4. How do I do that?

SOLUTION 1: Override P-button.

UP/DOWN move to the S-button you want to override.
S15 to go to the next step.

UP/DOWN change it to right MIDI-channel (1 for us).

REMARK: Now we program to override the OFF-command of S1 with CC 18.

UP/DOWN move to the S-button you want to override (P2 P3 to jump +/- 10 steps).

OR:00M01 AXE-FX
C:B 1:018 2:000
UP/DOWN change it to minimum (000).
S16 to save and move to the next step.

REMARK: repeat this for other S-buttons you want to override. You have 7 commands to override.
If you're done, push MENU MENU to exit.

SOLUTION 2: Use a different layer/page.

The first solution works great for a few buttons, but if you want to override more than 2 buttons
or if you want to override with the same layout for more than one P-button it's better to use layers.
something
on the screen
MENU
Which Function?
Press P1 -> P6
P1 to enter the Preset Menu.
Edit Preset: 008
Soldano SLO-100
UP/DOWN untill you see the preset you want.
P1 to edit this P-button.
008: Edit Name
name goes here
UP/DOWN for changing the underlined character (P2 P3 to jump +/- 10 steps).
S14/S15 for the previous/next character.
S16 to save and jump to the next step.

REMARK: Here we set the Program Change.

01: M01 AXE-FX
C:C 1:008 2:OFF
This is where you set the midi-channel and PC.
UP/DOWN for the right MIDI-channel (channel 1 for me).
S15 for the next parameter.
01: M01 PC #
C:C 1:008 2:OFF
Now we tell it to transmit PC (program changes).
UP/DOWN untill you see C:C (PC).
S15 for the next parameter.
01: M01 PC #
C:C 1:008 2:OFF
Which PC we want to transmit? (PC8 for me).
UP/DOWN untill you get the right CC (P2 P3 to jump +/- 10 steps).
S16 to save and go to the next step.

REMARK: Now we set a second command, go to page/layer 3 (counting starts at 0).

02: M SPECIAL
*SP* 1:002 2:003
UP/DOWN to change it to Special.
S15 to go the next parameter.
02: M IA 2nd
*SP* 1:002 2:003
UP/DOWN untill you get IA 2nd.
S15 to go the next parameter.
02: M DATA2
*SP* 1:002 2:003
UP/DOWN untill you get 3 (counting starts at 0).
S16 to save and go to the next step.
03: M00 No MIDI
 NO MIDI COMMAND
Now we want to leave the MENU.
MENU MENU
something
on the screen

REMARK: unfortunaly there's a catch with this. Once you're on layer 3 you stay on it,
so you need another P-button with a command to return back to layer 0.
