Expert: Using a Boss FS-5U as external Tap-Tempo
DISCRIPTION: we want to connect a Boss FS-5U
to expression 2 to control the tap-tempo of our Axe-Fx.
(this will probably work will any other momentary "unlatch"-type footswitch).
- PREPERATIONS:
- IMPORTANT: use a Y-cable (AKA insert cable). Stereo end into Expression 2 input. Tip-side into FS-5U.
(DO NOT insert a mono-cable in the expression pedal jack - you will cause damage to the unit.) - Find out which MIDI-channel the Axe-Fx is recieving data (channel 1 for me).
- Find out which CC the Axe-Fx uses for tap-tempo (CC 14 for me).
